CMS has announced a hold on 5010 implementation until 3/31/2012.

The Texas Medicaid and Healthcare Partnership has announced that, beginning August 1, 2011, individual voice mail boxes for Provider Relations territory representatives are being phased out and providers are being directed to call the TMHP Contact Center at 1-800-925-9126 or the TMHP-CSHCN Services Program Contact Center at 1-800-568-2413 to speak to a representative who can answer questions. On November 7, 2011, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced that Highmark Medicare Services (HMS) has been awarded the contract for the administration of Medicare Part A and Part B fee-for-service claims in the newly-formed A/B MAC Jurisdiction H. Click here for details.

 

CMS detailed the latest SGR formula estimate, a 29.5% cut in 2012, in a letter to MedPAC. Also MGMA, the AMA, and multiple specialties sent these letters to members of the House and Senate.
